Always nice when you can just go for a walk at the moment. I'm happy when the watermill can open again, hold on !!

Unfortunately, the sign that indicates the bicycle parking lot is overgrown with ivy - very rotty - so that we didn't know where to park our bikes. But this turned out to be a stroke of luck: when we sat on our bikes to drive on, they started to fly (with us, by the way). So it is thanks to the spirit of Graf Johann that we flew, and that CO2 neutral. Good for those who love the Oldenburger Land. Our youngest wants to become a pilot because of what happened - unfortunately not CO2 neutral. The result of the visit remains divided. But the coffee was good.

Food was served cold, employees never come back to order more drinks. Waiting time until the employee came back 48 minutes. So really bad service!

The food was tasty. The service ladies were polite. What annoyed me that the young man was wearing a mask but his nose was not covered. I spoke to him about this and he replied that he could not work if his nose was covered. Then he should stay at home, please. That's how I want to It would also be good in Corona times if you open the windows to ventilate, especially since it was warm and not cold outside. I want to feel safe when I go out to eat in closed rooms.

Today, on September 4th, 2020, my husband and I enjoyed the beautiful surroundings of the Wassermühle restaurant. The menu, however, was rather problematic for us as vegans. (!) The service was very nice, informed "the kitchen" and advised us. A little tip for "the kitchen": In the future, many more vegetarian and vegan guests would certainly like to come if the appropriate dishes were prepared! On the Internet e.g. there are an infinite number of recipes that are easy to cook! (That's how we do it in Bremen.) And then maybe for the management: a little lower the prices please - at least for vegetarian and vegan dishes - people will like that! The drinks are also not cheap ...! We would actually like to come back ....

It's so beautiful here. Staff very nice. Have had coffee here twice. Unfortunately at half past three the cake selection is no longer available. And both times. So should be more. Otherwise great.

I was a guest at a wedding and found the watermill to be a very nice location. The barn as well as the outdoor area with the lake are great and very lovingly designed. There was a varied buffet for food, all of which were very tasty.

We were there with four people on Sunday (August 9th, 2020). We probably had a bad day because the service staff was somehow not quite there, even though it wasn't too full. The food was delicious, but unfortunately it took a long time until it was served, in addition, the food came first and the cutlery a few minutes later. But we will go there again and convince ourselves that it was a single case.

Breakfast buffet is open again, We were here for the first time in a long time, and we were in good hands. The service was on the ball, we had a good seat inside. For sun worshipers there are plenty of seating options outside. The price is 14.90 for the breakfast buffet from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. You can also book breakfast brunch, which goes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., costs 21.90 euros and includes a selection of warm dishes in addition to the breakfast buffet from around 12 p.m.

Wonderful wedding We celebrated our wedding in the barn this month and we're just thrilled. As always, the staff was very friendly and attentive. Our food was spot on and very nicely presented. We thank the entire team at Wassermühle Wardenburg for the unforgettable celebration. Despite the special circumstances caused by Corona, you made it possible for us to have a wonderful wedding celebration - we can only recommend it!

It was our first time at the watermill. We were welcomed very friendly. The service was very courteous. The evening menu and the breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired. We would love to come back!

Everything was beautifully decorated with love and very well maintained and very friendly and competent.

Have been here 3 times since the Corona period. It is simply a very attentive waitress. Even if you are sitting at the back of the last tables, you are constantly asked whether we still have a wish. Outside is a beautiful lake that borders the tables with large fish and water lilies. Very romantic.

Very nice restaurant, beautifully located on the water. The food is very good. The staff friendly. Feel-good factor very high.

Were there on Pentecost Sunday in the evening and were warmly welcomed and waiter Ali served us great. Thank you very much for that. We had a lot of fun.

The Wassermühle (water mill) in Wardenburg, is popular with locals, families and groups. Located on the cycle wheel route around Oldenburg, it is also a great stop for cyclists, though it lacks safe cycle parking. The Mill’s weekend brunches are popular and it is a good destination for lunch, afternoon teas and dinner. For an early Sunday supper in early October we were happy to still be served at one of their tables outdoors by the mill pond, for which their friendly and apparently well trained staff brought us blankets as the night progressed. The diners were a mix of families, groups celebrating something and diners from Oldenburg and surroundings. The Wassermühle has built a pizza stove for pizzas and tart flambée - these Flammkuche were good, considering that Wardenburg is a six hours drive from the Alsace. A soup, two Alsacienne tart flambée (Flammkuchen), and two drinks came to €14 per head, which I consider modest in relation to the quality, service and pleasant surroundings. Note: Unfortunately the people at the Wassermühle follow the bad German habit of preparing milk coffee (e.g. Caffè Latte Macchiato, Café au lait et al) with what they call “normal milk”, which is unfortunately terrible UHT milk. Restaurants have fridges, so there is no need to pour dead white liquid into coffee. I take away one star for slaughtering espresso.
